The Issues

The Women’s Electoral Lobby has been advocating for women in Australia for the past 38 years. During that time we have contributed to huge improvements in women’s – and men’s – lives. WEL continues to work on improving fairness in society – and what is fair for women is fair for society as a whole.

There are a number of areas WEL is concerned about. We have developed fact sheets on each of the specific issues, and are working on discussion papers on the broader areas. These fact sheets can be used by anybody with an interest in the issue to find out more.

Women’s financial and economic security

Balancing work and family

Health and well-being

You can use the fact sheets to understand more about the issue. Talk about it with your friends, your local members of parliament or anybody who may be interested.
