In light of the coronavirus situation, the WEL executive voted unanimously this evening to postpone the trivia night. We take our duty of care to WEL members and supporters seriously, so have decided not to bring a large group of people together.
This date is a placeholder. We will keep you posted about a new date for the trivia night, so you will have plenty of notice. The venue will stay the same - Harold Park Community Centre, Glebe.
We are asking you to join us on the new date, if possible. We will all need a very hearty laugh together down the track - after enforced 'self isolation' retreats, the nation's desperate search for toilet paper and the never ending 'war on COVID-19' headlines!!
Meanwhile, WEL will be going full steam ahead with our 2020 Women Ageing Well campaign, to increase the supply of affordable housing in NSW so fewer women, especially elderly women, are pushed into homelessness. The trivia night will be an opportunity to update you on this crucial campaign.
We are energised by our 2019 abortion law reform campaign and continue to set our sights high for NSW women. Please help us in 2020 to pressure the NSW government on increasing the supply of affordable housing by donating here.
WEL is willing to refund the cost of your trivia night ticket, if you request us to do so. Please send an email to: [email protected]
We are keen to hear from you, if you have any other questions or suggestions. An email to [email protected] will be responded to quickly.
Thank you for your understanding & feminist support.
