We are pleased to announce that Wendy McCarthy AO will be our Guest Speaker at WEL NSW's AGM. The title of her talk is Women's refuges - where to now?
Wendy was one of the WEL founders in 1972 and long-time member of the organisation. She is working with the WEL Violence against Women Action Group on the Women’s Refuges and Housing Program proposal to the Council of Australian Governments.
Whether you know Wendy's work with the community sector, business or government you will recognise the fantastic contribution Wendy has made to the fabric of Australian life as an advocate for gender equality, education, family planning and human rights.
If you haven't already, you should RSVP for our 2015 AGM as you won't want to miss hearing Wendy's address to members.
The AGM is one of our most important events of the year, where financial members* vote to elect our WEL NSW Executive. This team will be responsible for guiding the strategic directions of WEL NSW into the future.
