We're throwing a party! Join us to celebrate 45 years of WEL at 3pm on Saturday 2nd December at the WEL office in Newtown, Sydney. There will be food, feminism and merriment aplenty!
To help celebrate, we're holding a panel discussion. We are very excited to welcome Tracey Spicer who will speak and then moderate our panel discussion with women about their activist journey, experiences and achievements, as well as future challenges and opportunities.
Joining the panel - Mareese Terare, a Bundjalung and Goenpul woman, lecturer in Social Work and Policy Studies at Sydney University, and Dr Rae Cooper Associate Professor, Associate Dean (Undergraduate) and Acting Associate Dean (Programs), the University of Sydney Business School. Dr Cooper is Co-Director of the Women, Work and Leadership Research Group.
After the panel we'll be kicking back our feminist heels and comfortable shoes with a party to celebrate 45 years of activism, advocacy and leadership.
